~As You Look Inside~

It seems as though you see me inside
Way down deep where my soul abides
Or into my mind where inner thoughts dwell
My words you seem to know before them I tell
This unusual connection we have between
Becomes more amazing as each new day is seen
Time after time these things come to be
While looking, into my inner being you seem to see
Yet, as I wonder how could occur these things
My heart very gladly a love song sings
For it takes enormous love, this much to care
To feel, to see, our inner beings to share
Though at times I am startled of how you are knowing
Of my thoughts and actions before they are showing
Yet, I am truly glad we are this close in our hearts
And I am hoping this closeness never, ever departs

~Memories~
~*~
Some of my experiences were hard
As life's journey I traveled through the years
There were many, many happy times
Yet sometimes came many tears
Though with every trial I've been through
There were precious gifts God gave to me
Among which have been my childhood memories
There in my mind's eye for me to see
Right near by for me to cherish
God planted deep within my heart
These memories of family, friends, loved ones
Each person in my life had a part
What would I do without my memories
The troublesome ones helped me to grow
And the sweet, precious ones I hold close
Come from God as His blessings to me He'll show

~Of This Kind~
~*~
When asked how we know our love is real
words enter into our mind
Though none seem to be sufficient enough
to desribe a love of this kind
We love each other so deeply
that we are always one
No matter the distance of space
our closeness is not undone
Loving deeper than the deepest ocean
or higher than the highest mountain
Our love will never cease
flowing as an unending fountain
We would swim the longest river
or walk a desert across the miles
If we knew we would be together
just to see each others smiles
We keep our loves flame alive
like a fire within us burning
Always holding our precious memories
for each other forever yearning
Though we never have words to describe
our love so real and true
We believe for forever and always
there will be a me and you

~Scooter, My Baby~
~*~
This little poem I write
might not be understood
Before I got my little Scooter
I surely never could
Understand how my friend could love
her little dog like a baby
I even told her that it might
be just a little too much, maybe
But then for a gift
I got this little dog of mine
It has been a few years now
and we get along real fine
I've had pets all my life
and I really did love them
But this one I'm more attached to
I hope I'll always have him
From the start he has been
as special as can be
Because he was a Christmas present
that my Love gave to me
I never did like to let
in the house a dog to stay
But little Scooter from the start
in here most of the day
With him in my bed
I even let him sleep
That started out when just a puppy
and in his bed he would weep
I know when I talk about him
some think I'm mighty silly
But like my friend said to me
it doesn't matter, really
I've got my Love, my daughter,
my family and lots of friends
But my little loving Scooter
never too busy his ear to lend
He listens to me when I have
happiness, troubles, or woes
It seems that with his instincts
my moods he always knows
When I come home from going places
and doing things I have to do
He greets me with such love and joy
like I've been gone for a year or two
So, if every now and then
a poem like this you see
I'm just talking about my little Scooter
who is like a "baby" to me

~Upon A Cloud~
~*~
We live upon a cloud of love
And feel as if we float above
Flying free as a snow white dove
We live upon a cloud of love
This feeling here within our heart
We hope and pray will never part
Being unique from our very start
This feeling here within our heart
The love we have beyond compare
Is filled with tender loving care
With all our hearts ourselves we share
The love we have beyond compare
We live upon a cloud of love
And feel as if we float above
